Gordon Eddington Copper Art ExhibitPresented by Red Butte Garden and Arboretum at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum April 27-May 20, 2012 The Process of Art on Copper: Gordon takes an image, usually from his photography, and then creates a mosaic pattern from the design. He then transfers the pattern to a piece of copper sheeting. Once this is done the copper is cut into pieces that can be fired with a torch. The type of enamel, translucent or opaque, and the color and the amount of heat determines the outcome of the firing.
