Utah Architects and Sanborn Maps Utah Architects and Sanborn Maps Presented by Book Arts Program At the J. Willard Marriott Library at Special Collections Gallery June 22-August 5, 2012 This exhibition features the Capitol Competition drawings of Richard Kletting (1858-1943), and the Harvard drawings of Salt Lake City-born architect Lloyd Snedaker (1905-1989). Originally from Germany, Kletting was informally known as "The Dean of Utah Architecture." His first commission in Salt Lake City was the University of Deseret, which is now the University of Utah. Colleen Reynolds Art Exhibit - Life in Bloom Colleen Reynolds Art Exhibit - Life in Bloom Presented by Red Butte Garden and Arboretum at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum September 14-October 7, 2012 Colleen Reynolds work celebrates the complexity of the living world, triggered by her interest in biology. She derives much of her inspiration from her husband's garden. Reynolds paints in acrylic, watercolor and oil. She creates textured and iridescent paintings where the surface shimmers, chameleon-like, in changing light.
