Gordon Eddington Copper Art ExhibitPresented by Red Butte Garden and Arboretum at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum April 27-May 20, 2012 The Process of Art on Copper: Gordon takes an image, usually from his photography, and then creates a mosaic pattern from the design. He then transfers the pattern to a piece of copper sheeting. Once this is done the copper is cut into pieces that can be fired with a torch. The type of enamel, translucent or opaque, and the color and the amount of heat determines the outcome of the firing. She derives much of her inspiration from her husband's garden. Reynolds paints in acrylic, watercolor and oil. She creates textured and iridescent paintings where the surface shimmers, chameleon-like, in changing light.
