Audition for original pop musical, "A Father's Day"

For: Original pop musical, A Father's Day, by Nate Gagon (debuted in 2015 at Cottonwood HS); we have about 75% of our casting done, but still have several adult roles available; we particularly need men ages 18+

Show Description: PG-equivalent production about the meaning and value of family; shows the story of a family, from when a man and woman meet, fall in love, have kids, and up through the kids growing up and having kids of their own; goes through the ups and downs of life (comedy, drama, tragedy, heartache, friendship, love, etc.)

Performance Dates and Location: Between June 12-24 (exact dates and number of performances TBD); the venue will very likely be the Summit Academy private middle school in Draper (they have a really nice 400-seat auditorium)

Audition Dates: Auditions are being scheduled individually (or as groups if desired) through the first week in April; held at a home recording studio in Sandy, UT (8435 South Jardim way, 84093)

Audition Details: We ask that you perform 60 seconds of a pop song that shows off your vocal range and ability as well as a 30-60 second monologue of your choosing; video auditions may also suffice

Pay: 25% of our net profits will be paid to our cast - distributed based on role; we project this cast portion to be at least $1,500 (hopefully more)

Rehearsal Schedule: We plan to rehearse just on Saturdays in April (hopefully starting with a reading / meet & greet on April 8), and add a weeknight or 2 in May as we get closer to the performances (specific weeknights and times TBD based on cast input); rehearsals will largely be held at a large detached garage at a home in Bluffdale (other rehearsals may be either in Sandy or Murray)

Other: We also plan to get a film recording of the show (which will likely be shot primarily at dress rehearsals between June 3-11) as well as a professional soundtrack recording at the studio; cast members will get free copies of these
