The Northwest Booking Conference will be held in Bellevue (Seattle), Washington October 14 – 17, 2010. The Juried Showcase Application Form is now online at www.artsnw.org. Deadline for applying is March 22, 2010. Below is the information artists and agents will need to complete the online showcase application: · Artist/Group Name · Brief description of the showcase performance in 450 characters or less · Artists' state of residence · Management/Agency Name · Contact Name, address, email address, website URL · Artist Email and website URL · Performance Discipline and Description (75 character limit for description) · Type of artistic sample to be sent – CD, DVD or MP3 · Has the Artist previously had a juried showcase at a Northwest Booking Conference? If yes, what year. (After Hours Showcase doesn’t apply.) · Does the Artist offer community residencies? 450 character max description. · Total number of performers in group; number of performers to showcase if selected. · Number of years artist has performed; number of years artist has toured. · Organization name, location and contact phone number of three presenters from the past two years touring activity. Do not include home dates. · Fee range of artist and also for residencies · Credit card information for the non-refundable $80 showcase application fee. To complete the application, the following support materials must be sent to Arts Northwest by March 22, 2010: · an artistic sample that represents the artist/group's work that will be showcased with a note designating several tracks that you would like the panel to hear or view. Dance, theatre, storytelling and visual performers must include a video or DVD. Samples may be submitted in the following formats: 1) DVD (that can be played in a standard DVD player); 2) CD (that can be played in a standard CD player); 3) MP3s on CD. When submitting video /DVD representations of the artist's work, please make every attempt to provide a performance sample rather than a promotional video. · two complete and identical promotional packets that include a biography, press cuttings, photographs and / or slides, performance description, recent reviews, etc. General Showcase information is posted on our website under the Conference 2010 tab.
