    Description:

“HABITAT” BOXES taught by Marina Alexandrescu

Saturday, May 17th, 9a-5p at Art Access Gallery - 230 South 500 West #125, Salt Lake City

The idea of “habitats” embraces many possibilities—an actual physical space, an internal psychological state or our own physical bodies. We’ll conceptualize our individual connection to these ideas and then construct our own personal habitat using the box format as our stage for personal narratives. Bring your own box/materials or use what we have on hand. Marina Alexandrescu works in various media from painting to collage and three-dimensional assemblage using traditional and non-traditional materials. She earned her BFA in Painting and Drawing from the U of U and her MFA in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
