Celtic Harpistry is a newly formed Celtic ensemble under the direction of Cynthia Douglass. Having debuted with Riverdance Rhythm of Ireland in 2007, and performed to huge audiences at Temple Square last Fall, this group has quickly received great acclaim for their professional work. They share their love and mastery of Scottish and Irish music with great energy and passion, weaving nostalgic love songs with blazing jigs and reels, even bringing out their champion Irish step dancer. Using traditional Celtic ornamentation and styling, Celtic Harpistry features the haunting sounds of the Celtic harp with cello, fiddle, Irish flute, and voice, and will be bringing in the electrifying energy of guest artist Paul Mitchell on hammered dulcimer. This group is unique in its instrumentation and mesmerizing in their presentation. They will present a memorable St. Patrick's Day concert you will not want to miss! Tickets: (801) 832-2458
