Add Review/CommentWinner of the 1992 Tony Award for Best Play, the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Broadway Play and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Dancing at Lughnasa is widely regarded as Brian Friel's masterpiece. This haunting story of five unmarried sisters is set in Ireland in 1936 at the time of the harvest festival. The revelry, dance, and music, as well as the inner longings of the women seem to epitomize the very heart of the human spirit.
