Explore the period homes and disappearing rural landscape of Utah through this exhibition of new oil paintings by Phyllis F. Horne. Born in the central Utah town of Richfield, Phyllis Horne is celebrated for her ability to conjure up the mood of an earlier and simpler time. In “Yesteryear”, you are taken on a journey down back roads and onto classic Victorian porches, into cottage gardens and over weathered fences. The paintings summon up a range of responses to these relics of the past – from cheerful nostalgia to a sense of isolation.
