August's gallery stroll will feature mixed media sculpture by Tom Hartvigsen and Jim Sullivan's acrylic paintings. The Salt Lake City Arts Council programs the galleries at the Art Barn in Reservoir Park with a year-round series of exhibitions of work by contemporary Utah artists. This continues a more than 75-year tradition at the Art Barn, which was founded by local visual artists and patrons in order to provide a venue for artists. Reservoir Park is located near the University of Utah (1325 East 100 South) and the gallery hours are 9:00am-5:00pm on weekdays; and every third Friday of the month from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, for the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll.
