    Come celebrate culture, diversity and the Year of the Rat at the largest Asian community gathering in the state of Utah. The 2008 Utah Asian Festival provides an opportunity for Asian communities to honor and celebrate their rich cultural heritage and unique traditions. Asian communities from more than 10 countries attended the festival, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino, Malaysian and Cambodian. Competitors in three age categories will be competing for awards in the Asian American Idol singing competition. Auditions for this juried event are on May 24. Finalists will be performing at the Asian Festival on June 14th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Winners will perform from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. Helpful Information: The festival proudly offers free parking to all attendees.
