Peery's Egyptian Theatre Foundation presents an exciting live concert of world class percussion. Come hear the Grammy Award winning exotic rhythms of India. This concert offers the audience an opportunity to experience melodic (raga) and rhythmic (tala) development as well as witness the dazzling and athletic dancing drummers of Manipur as they perform their dazzling routine on stage at the historic Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden. Masters of Percussion will feature the traditional repertoire of North Indian solo and duet tabla highlighted by excursions exploring the frontiers between traditional, contemporary, folk and classical forms.
