Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is proud to present the first annual Bluegrass Camp for Kids. The camp is part of Snowbird’s new Mountain Music Festival, which runs July 8-12 and will feature nationally renowned acts such as the Cowboy Junkie’s, Son Volt, Old 97’s, The SteelDrivers and more

The three-day camp is open to 35 children ages 5-17 of all musical abilities. Instruction will be provided by members of Bearfoot, an accomplished bluegrass band from Alaska that has taught thousands of kids worldwide. Through an advance registration process, participants will pick from a wide range of classes, including all levels of guitar, bass, banjo, fiddle and vocals. Campers will also be involved in a joint band class, daily jams, square dances, art projects and opportunities for private instruction and games. The camp concludes with a final concert for friends and family on the afternoon of July 10.

Tuition is $175 per participant, with scholarships available through the Snowbird Renaissance Center. Campers can borrow instruments or bring their own, and the curriculum includes lunch, snacks and transportation.
