Summer Art Workshop Series for Teens

The Art Access Gallery (a program of VSA arts of Utah) is hosting five 12-hour art workshops for teens with and without special needs. Each workshop is taught by a professional artist. The workshops will culminate with a juried exhibit of selected students’ work in August, 2009.
June 18-19: PAINTED PHOTOGRPAHY taught by Cat and Blake Palmer
June 22-23: PAINTING on TIN taught by Cassandra Christensen Barney
June 29-30: MIXED-MEDIA—SOCIAL ISSUES taught by Trent Alvey
July 6-7: MIXED-MEDIA BOXES taught by Blue Critchfield and Erica Houston
July 9-10: CARTOONING taught by Emmanuel Makonga
The art workshops are limited to 12 students. There is a $20 registration fee (which can be reduced or waived based on need) but the workshops are free to the participants and all art supplies are provided by VSA Arts of Utah.
