Institute, on tour...!

Spend the day with Broadway professionals - in Salt Lake City! This intensive workshop brings Broadway pros and our workshops to you!
This Saturday, January 16th you’ll attend a workshop on everything a performing artist needs to know - from Audition and Acting Techniques to Marketing your Career! Learn a dance combination from a Broadway show. Plus, you’ll have a chance to audition for scholarship to the Summer Program in New York.

 

What to expect:

Students will meet and work one-on-one with professional Broadway and New York teaching artists (including actors, singers, dancers, directors, choreographers). With experience from Broadway to TV/Film, our instructors will teach dance combinations from Broadway shows, work on auditioning and acting techniques, and work on your audition songs.

 

Audition information:
Admission to the SUMMER WORKSHOP IN NYC is by audition only. Limited space available!
Students may also audition to qualify for scholarship opportunities.

 

Ages 13-18

DANCE/VOCAL AUDITION:
Come prepared to learn a dance combination.. Bring a short 16-bar audition song that shows you ‘at your best’. Bring sheet music clearly marked for an accompanist to play. No CDs allowed.
Bring a headshot/resume. Sign-up begins 1/2 hour prior to audition.

 

Open Jar Productions held a similar workshop here in Utah in 2008.

The workshop was attended by many students from all over the State.
