FamilySearch Indexing is an exciting and easy-to-use online program for indexing genealogical records and making them available to the public at no charge. Anyone with a computer and access to the Internet can index records.

The Family History Library offers classes on how to do indexing. The next series of classes will be taught on Saturday, May 10, 2008. The series classes include “How to Do Indexing,” “Arbitrating FamilySearch Indexing Batches,” and “Indexing Administration.

The series classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. All classes are hands-on and are held in the main floor computer lab of the library. In addition, the “How to Do Indexing” class will be repeated on Fridays, May 16 and May 23, at 10:00 a.m. To view the class schedules online, go to www.familysearch.org.
