The Volunteer Jam 2008 kicks off with an exciting lineup including The Charlie Daniels Band, 38 Special and Shooter Jennings. The Volunteer Jam started in 1974 when Daniels decided to record two songs live in concert and chose an auditorium in Nashville. In a nod to the Volunteer State, the CDB calls the concert the Volunteer Jam and invited a few friends to join them. 'We had such a good time, we decided we should do this once in while,' says Daniels.
