      For the December 10th performance I must say the production was nothing short of Broadway quality. For an easy comparison you can watch the Lincoln Center presentation on YouTube of most of the numbers. This will be a musical that will stay around for years to come. This presentation was well directed,(more humor than others), well-acted, and definitely beautifully sung with a ton of emotion from all involved. It was a fabulous night at the theatre. I can't imagine anyone not loving this beautifully touching story. A refreshing change of pace from all the "revivals", Disney theatre, and shock theatre that's dealt up to the public these days. Thank you Adam Guettel and Pioneer for a great evening of theatre. Collapse

      I was instrumental in buying 20 group tickets to the production on 12/17/08. We were all very disappointed. I was embarrased that I had believed the reviews and so this was our Holiday get-together.... Expand

      I was instrumental in buying 20 group tickets to the production on 12/17/08. We were all very disappointed. I was embarrased that I had believed the reviews and so this was our Holiday get-together. The singing of the main character was excellent, but the young girl's voice was shrill and unpleasant. The scenery was excellent, but the production was disjointed and hard to follow. We will be very careful about making reservations for future events until we speak to someone who has actually seen the production. Collapse

      I saw this in NYC, with the original cast, and thought it was amazing. It's such a beautiful story. I saw this production last night in the last dress rehearsal (disclaimer: I am a friend of a cast member) and was just blown away by this production. Even though it was their first full performance, it just left me speechless. The actress who plays "Clara" has such a pure voice; she is perfect for the role. And the music is incredibly difficult. All of the performances were top shelf, and the set design was gorgeous to look at. I am going to have to go again during the run. Collapse
