Add Review/CommentUtahns can celebrate the Days of '47 activities by watching or participating in the largest youth parade in the United States. In just four blocks, you can see marching bands, creatively decorated floats, performing groups and, of course, nearly 5,000 children having a grand time. Performing groups clothed in traditional dress delight spectators with instruments, vocal and dance routines from around the globe. The parade begins at 500 South and 600 East and continues to Salt Lake City and County Building, where the Youth Festival will take place. Families will love the inflatable slides, obstacle courses, bouncers and rides. In addition, they will find craft tables, balloon art and face painting. Large and small booths, sponsored by local organizations, will feature games, hands-on learning activities and prizes. Interactive educational safety areas will offer life-saving information and sporting events will motivate kids to be more active. Marching bands and local entertainment will fill the park with music, while a variety of lunch foods, snacks and frozen treats will be available for minimum prices.
