An Evening Benefit With Utah's Poet Laureate Katharine Coles

Katharine Coles began her 5 year term as Poet Laureate of Utah in 2006. She received her Ph.D. in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Utah where she is currently a professor of English. Coles has published two novels and three collections of poetry. She has received a Utah Book Award as well as grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and Poets Essayists and Novelists. She co-directs the Utah Symposium in Science and Literature and is very involved in serving the arts community around her.
