In the shadow of the great Mount Timpanogos, voices echo across the valley. They call out tales of triumph, tales of discovery and tales of love. They whisper memories into thousands of eager hearts who flock to them every year, hoping for a glimpse into the past or an insight into the present. From across the country, storytellers as varied as Mount Timpanogos is tall enter the shadow of the mountain, clad in practiced skill and bearing a hundred tailored tales. 25,000 listeners of all ages gather around them because they know when they hear the echoing fables, they cannot help but to become a bit wiser, a bit more human. Now in its 19th year, the Festival has become one of the largest of its kind in the country, drawing 10 nationally known storytellers and around 25,000 visitors. From tales and workshops to puppetry and pottery, the Festival is an attraction for people of all ages and backgrounds. Join us for the largest storytelling festival in the West - the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival - held every year in Orem, Utah at the close of August. Some of the nation's best known storytellers unite with other tellers, both young and old, for two all-day celebrations of music, merriment, but mostly stories. In addition to the daytime activities held at Mt. Timpanogos Park on Friday and Saturday, there will be public performances in the evenings, such as 'Look Who's Talking, 'Bedtime Stories,' 'My Favorite Stories' and 'Laughing Night.' Before the main Festival begins, attendees may also attend storytelling workshops held on Thursday morning and afternoon at the Orem Public Library, given by four of the featured storytellers. These workshops are registered separately from other Festival events, but will enhance the listener's understanding and enjoyment of Festival storytelling.

This was an amazing event. It was like watching a series of stand-up comedy routines or a series of one man/woman shows. Very entertaining!
