The Cedar City Livestock and Heritage Festival is an exciting celebration of the agricultural industry's contribution to our community, yesterday and today, and of the annual trailing of the sheep from mountain pastures to the valleys. It's a perfect event for families and friends to gather and celebrate Cedar City's heritage. Cedar City was built on a foundation of farming and ranching which makes this community strong and healthy in a variety of ways. In addition to being a major economic factor, farming and ranching was key in establishing a strong work ethic, good family values, and open space, thus making Iron County a great place to live, work and play. This year's event will feature historic sheep wagons, a premier stock dog competition, Dutch oven cooking contest, a major headliner concert, tractor pull, cowboy poetry, and of course one thousand sheep parading down Cedar City s Main Street.
