The Utah Cultural Celebration Gallery is pleased to present the fourth annual 2008 Face of Utah Sculpture art exhibition. Every year, the Face of Utah Sculpture exhibition provides over forty Utah artists a forum to present Utah culture through sculptural form. The origins of this dynamic exhibit, envisioned by glass artist Dan Cummings, features both well-known and emerging Utah sculptors, showcasing both traditional and contemporary sculpture in a variety of techniques, styles, mediums and forms. The result is an exciting and eclectic mix of excellence in artistry in countless forms! In addition to the larger exhibit, sculptor Tim Little has created Childhood Fantasy, a large scale piece depicting a winged fairy riding a stick-bug that that will entice children to interact with the art by honking noise makers and pulling levers that produce streams of water! And while your there, don't miss The Wild Life of Dollores Shelledy, an outdoor sculpture exhibit of life-size zoo animals dramatically displayed outdoors on the Cultural Center Plaza. Everyone is invited to meet the artists at the opening reception on July 10 from 6:00pm - 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, and includes food, live music, and the finest new works produced by Utah's best sculptors.
