His distinctive career, which includes 18 studio albums and two lives albums, has earned Hiatt 11 Grammy awards. Joan Osborne is best known for her Top 5 hit (What if God Was) One of Us, which went multi-platinum and earned her five Grammy nominations. Rolling Stone magazine praised Osborne's voice as sexy and earnest, capable of tapping into emotional sensibility.
