The Davis Arts Council and Layton City presents a 'Great Family Date, where Crazy-8 games and prize giveaways will be part of the fun for everyone. The emcee for the evening will be the hilarious Craig Bielik. One of Utah's favorite comics, having worked a set or two at Wise Guys Comedy Club. He's also a favorite Emcee and finds himself hosting many events around the state. Musical entertainment will be provided by Mid-Life Crisis. Mid-Life Crisis takes you on a nostalgic trip back in time covering the music they were reared on during the decades of the 60's and 70's. The band's blend of musicianship and funny and refreshing chemistry with the audience make this Mid-Life Crisis fun for the whole family. In August of 2005 they appeared on the Davis Arts Council 'Summer Nights with the Stars' season. Brenda Burton and Dave Thomas share the spotlight on lead vocals. Dave's gregarious style blending with Brenda's warm and powerful voice creates the fun and comfortable atmosphere that keeps audiences coming back. The trio of guitars is lead by Doug Pierce providing memorable guitar licks with Tyler Blackner on bass and Sherm MacFarlane on rhythm guitar. Barry Sanderson sets the energetic pace on drums. Also on the bill is comedian, Keith Stubbs. Keith is one of the fastest comedy guns in the business. He is an A-List comedian whose high-speed delivery style sends audiences into fits of laughter! Not only is Keith Stubbs a true professional in language and subject matter, but also an excellent writer, performing his own material. Keith has been seen on Comedy Central's Laugh Riots,/i> and the Improv. In 2004 he was invited to both the Calgary Comedy Festival and the prestigious Boston Comedy. Keith can also be heard on 101.5 FM 'The Eagle' every weekday morning.
