With an enticing brand of acoustic driven contemporary folk rock, Thom Sequoia draws from a unique blend of styles and influences as diverse as folk, Americana, country, new age, jazz, eurofolk, world, blues, pop and southern rock. Thom's highly praised instrumental skill serves up a panoramic backdrop to Thom's lyrical prowess, and silky tenor vocal renderings. Thom has toured the Western US as an Indie Music Artist, playing in acoustic venues, cafés, resorts, festivals, and house concerts as diverse as Sundance Resort, the Freight & Salvage, Deer Valley Resort, Tim's Cabin-Orcas Island, Portland Sheraton, Monterey Fisherman's Wharf, California Arts Project Seminar, Pier 39, and many places in between. Daniel Petersen's songs are inspired by everyday life experiences. He's played a lot at restaurants, coffee shops, college venues, county fair, etc. He's played for crowds of one to two hundred young, diverse students where he has received positive reactions and excellent, unbiased compliments. He has recently moved to the Salt Lake City area.
