Come and enjoy an exhibition of work by artist Sonya Dinsdale. The exhibit Defining Moments, consist of colorful, abstract, two dimensional mixed media pieces. Each one represents a fleeting thought, street scene, passion, screw-up, obsession, revelation, things to be remembered, and things not to be repeated…you get the idea. Sonya's long and varied career in the arts world has taken her many places. She started out at the University of Utah, graduating with a BFA in studio arts and printmaking while working as a research assistant on the Utah Museum of Fine Arts'African Art collection (all the while dabbling in architectural history and design). Passion for African art landed her in graduate studies at UCLA. Then she came home. Opening Reception: Appetizers will be served at an opening reception Friday, September 5 from 6:00pm-9:00pm with live contemporary folk music by Desert Rose. The artist will be present to answer questions and discuss her new work.
