    The Salt Lake City Public Library presents Joy Harjo as part of the Dewey Lecture Series. Harjo is a multi-talented artist of the Mvskoke/Creek Nation. As an internationally-known poet, she has published seven books of poetry including She Had Some Horses, In Mad Love and War, The Woman Who Fell From the Sky, and her most recent How We Became Human: New and Selected Poems. Harjo has also performed her original music around the world, been featured by Bill Moyers and Garrison Keillor, and has won many accolades for her writing and music. Harjo's lecture at The City Library will include poetry-reading and singing. It will be the kick-off event for Salt Lake City's community celebration of 'We Shall Remain,' a powerful new perspective on Native American history from the award-winning PBS series, 'American Experience.'
