Many of Rose Johnson-Tsosie's life experiences have been told as award-winning stories. Her recently-published book Finding Helen: A Navajo Miracle, tells the story of her adoption and finding her natural family thirty-three years later. With her inspirational and humorous life experiences, it is a book for all ages. Johnson-Tsosie is a member of the Olympus Storytellers Guild and has been a member of Toastmasters International for over 19 years. In 2002, Johnson-Tsosie was diagnosed with diabetes and glaucoma. After 5 surgeries and 97% peripheral vision loss, she is an advocate on health issues, diabetes complications, blindness, and neuropathy.
