Weber State University Department of the Performing Arts and the Union Station Foundation present Jazz at the Station with Benjamin Jennings and Friends. This is the beginning of a new season and day of the month for this monthly program. It is now scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month. Jennings, bassist and drummer, last appeared on this program in July as the drummer of the Duffy Kane Jazz Trio. The Trio will be included in the performance on September 10th, as well as Don Keipp, marimba; Zoltan Vegvari, keyboards; Don Rogerson, saxophone; Clint Stanger, bass; and possibly a few others. Jennings hosts a Jazz Jam Session every other Thursday at the Wine Cellar in Ogden. He has assembled an all star line up of local Jazz musicians drawn mainly from the Jazz Sessions to appear with him at the Station. Many of these players are members of the WSU jazz program directed by Dr. Donald Keipp.
