Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet takes one of the best-known musical works of the twentieth century to the next level. Carmina Burana combines dance, music, and song in an event of intense exuberance and uninhibited theatrical power. From fiery passion and lofty spirituality to irreverence and a lust for life, this ballet is a feast for the senses. The sweet simple melodies and distinctive pulsing rhythms composed by Carl Orff in 1937 continue to inspire humankind and media.
