With above-average injury rates, Latino construction and factory workers are at high risk for injuring themselves. In this engaging program, For the Sake of Your Loved Ones we meet a factory foreman from Mexico, a Salvadoran construction foreman, the wife of an injured Mexican worker, and others. In a down-to-earth style, they tell us about the impact of an injury on a worker's family, a worker's safety rights and responsibilities, reasons for high injury rates among Latino workers, the importance of communication in workplace safety, safety procedures in a variety of situations, the importance of personal protective equipment, what to do when working in an unsafe setting, how to report dangerous work conditions and much more!
