This series is an opportunity for the Salt Lake Art Center - after successful exhibitions of video works by Gary Hill (Language Willing in 2004) and Bill Viola (Ascension in 2007) - to present four back-to-back videos by renowned specialists in the medium. The artists include Miranda July, USA; Steve Reinke, Canada; Ximena Cuevas, Mexico; and Paul McCarthy, USA were selected to make this a transnational series. Miranda July opens the series on October 18 with the film, Getting Stronger Every Day, 2001; October 18 - November 29, 2008. The series continues with Steve Reinke, Regarding the Pain of Susan Sontag (Notes on Camp), 2006, December 6, 2008-January 10, 2009; Ximena Cuevas, Someone Behind the Door, 2005, January 17-March 14, 2009; and Paul McCarthy, Painter, 1995), March 21-May 23, 2009.
