The Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation takes great pride in presenting Stephen Beus, the XIV Gold Medalist of the 2006 Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition, as the second artist of the “Tuesdays at the Bachauer” Concert Series.

Described by the Fort Worth Star Telegram as a pianist of "artistic instinct and natural charisma," and having a “rock sold technique… with scorching ferocity” by the Int’l Record Review, Stephen Beus is recognized as one of the most promising pianists of his generation. In the space of four months, Mr. Beus won first prize in the 2006 Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition, first place in the Vendome Prize International Competition (Lisbon) and he was awarded the Max I. Allen Fellowship of the American Pianists Association (Indianapolis).

Stephen’s concert program promises great variety, for piano enthusiasts as well as the more casual listener:
JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH English Suite in G Minor (1685-1750)
    NIKOLAI MEDTNER Sonata-Tragica (1880-1951)
    FRANZ LISZT La Campanella (1811-1886)
LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN Sonata in B-Flat Major, op. 106 (“Hammerklavier”) (1770-1827)
