Matt is best known as a rowdy and fun performer with a side of him that is in full flower on his new album Shine. It opens with the hit single 'Shine,' and progresses with songs like Whiskey Well, about emerging from a heartbreak and making a party out of it, and 'Dirt Road Dancing,' a song that celebrates singin drinkin and dancing with rambunctious folk. 'My shows are pretty big parties,' he says, flashing his trademark grin, 'but I have a lot of serious songs and a lot of storytelling I do.'
