Each year in the month of February the V-Day Organization, founded by playwright Eve Ensler, allows The Vagina Monologues to be performed royalty-free on college campuses. Performances of the play and other V-Day events take place around the world to raise awareness and funds for organizations working to end violence against women. The Vagina Monologues is a compilation of over two hundred interviews with women who describe their attitudes toward their own sexuality.
