WSU Department of Performing Arts faculty member and Diversity Fellow, tenor Akombo David O. Akombo is presenting a faculty vocal recital. He will be assisted by Melinda Tall, piano; Krista Griffith, vocals; Mark Maxson and Josh Olsen, guitar; Jed Keipp, percussion; and Zoltan Vegvari, keyboards. Akombo will be performing works by Bob Marley and Henry 'Harry' Thacker Burleigh.

      I attended Dr. Akombo's recital, and I was amazed. He is an incredibly talented musician, and I loved his performance. The participation of the audience playing the variety of African drums was also... Expand

      I attended Dr. Akombo's recital, and I was amazed. He is an incredibly talented musician, and I loved his performance. The participation of the audience playing the variety of African drums was also very entertaining. His love of music definitely shined through in his recital. Collapse
