This is a heartwarming story of a girl coming to terms with her own life and the relationship's she is in. When Sarah, a teacher from Chicago wants to please her parents, she invents a boyfriend that she believes will be the man of her mother's dreams. When her parents insist on meeting the man, Sarah hires Bob, an actor, to play the part of her boyfriend. This film was primarily filmed in Utah. The film was completed in the fall of 2007. The executive producer of Beau Jest is David Newton, mayor of West Jordan. Cantor Lawrence Loeb from Congregation Kol Ami, made his debut in this film. This film was adapted by playwright James Sherman. Mayor Dave Newton and Cantor Lawrence Loeb will be present after the film to answer questions and have an open discussion.
