    The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature Jennifer Rose at Art Insights. Ms. Rose will be discussing her transition from college to working at Pentagram in New York. Throughout her career, Ms. Rose continues to learn new techniques new letter-pressing process. Join this young professional, as she gives students and aspiring artists the hope to live as a working artist. Graduating from Indiana University with a BFA in graphic design and a minor in art history, Jennifer Rose has continued to do letter-pressing for greeting cards, books and posters. Her poster 'That's the Story of the Hurricane', a fundraising poster for Katrina Relief was the recipient of the AIGA Origination Award. This prestigious award is given to an artist who has made exceptional contributions to the field of design and visual communication. Jennifer Rose's need to create objects stemmed from her farmland childhood, where she was always building, creating or making things as a youngster. She transpires this inspiration throughout her career. Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. In Art Insights students and community members meet weekly to attend gallery openings and experience presentations and discussions by visiting artists and art educators from around the nation who share their work and insights.
