Based on the young adult novel by satirical crime writer Carl Hiaasen, this movie plunges readers right into the middle of an ecological mystery, made up of endangered burrowing owls, a Mother Paula's All-American Pancake House scheduled to be built over their burrows, and the owls' unlikely allies - three middle school kids. After the movie, Jen Hajj, from HawkWatch International, will discuss Utah's burrowing owls: their diet, migration patterns and habitat requirements.
