Urban Iditarod
March 14, 2009
Add Review/CommentThe Iditarod is a gruelling dogsled race across the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness. It is 1150 miles long, and the record is about nine days. The Urban Iditarod will be a gruelling race around the unforgiving Salt Lake City urban landscape. It is four and a half miles long, and the record is about ten beers. Oh, and instead of sleds, it uses shopping carts. And instead of dogs pulling the sleds, it uses people pulling the carts. And it features five compulsory rest and refreshment stops. All conveniently located in pubs. Apart from that, it's pretty much the same. On the 2nd Saturday of March, the dogs will be let loose on Salt Lake City.
