HORNE Fine Art invites you to celebrate spring with Hollyhock Walks and Other Garden Paths. This exhibition features a fresh crop of garden paintings by the noted Utah artist Phyllis Horne. Though she paints all the seasons of the Utah landscape, her garden scenes are especially sought after. They appear in public collections at the Governor's Mansion, the Springville Museum and the SL County Collection, as well as in numerous private collections. These new paintings depict hollyhocks in the sun and shade, waves of jewel toned iris, roses sprucing up paths. But what Phyllis Horne captures is more than the flowers themselves. The paintings become a fertile ground for memory, recalling the experience of strolling down pathways dappled in light in springs and summers past. There will also be an opening reception on March 20 from 6:00pm-9:00pm and an additional gallery stroll in April on the 17 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
