Ellipsis Debut Featuring Barbara Daniels

Westminster College is pleased to present nationally recognized poet Barbara Daniels to debut the 2009 issue of Ellipsis. The Anne Newman Sutton Weeks Poetry Series, Ellipsis Literature and Art are pleased to join together in the debut of the 2009 issue. Barbara Daniels' book Rose Fever (2008), includes poems originally published in Ellipsis. She grew up in Sheldon, Iowa, and from 1976 to 2008, taught English at Camden County College in New Jersey. The complex intelligence of Rose Fever is signaled by the title: 'rose,' scented by the romantic and the natural, and 'fever,' with connotations of avidity and illness. Barbara Daniels' poems are consummately skillful, meticulously precise and anything-but-plain gorgeous.
