Starring Michael Ballam, Bravo Caruso is a play about the man behind the performer and the human being behind the legend. About the relationship between a man and his devoted servant, it is also a play about the glamorous, wacky world of grand opera. Caruso, like Pagliacci, must perform in the midst of anguish. The people have paid and they want to laugh, even though Caruso is dying. The crowd will roar with applause. Hide your pain...your breaking heart...that is the role of the artist.
