Thierry Fischer is back to conduct the orchestra in Shostakovich's passionate Tenth Symphony. Finally free from the artistic oppression of the 'iron fist,' Shostakovich premiered his Tenth just months after the death of Stalin. Today, it ranks among his finest works.
