Synopsis of the plays: Birdbath (1965) by Leonard Melfi, directed by Tiara Wallgren. A would be poet bartender and a psychologically damaged waitress work the late shift at a New York diner. The late night collision of broken people reveals a surprising ending. Fumed Oak (1935) by Noel Coward, directed by Marza Warsinski. Henry Gow, a disgruntled shopkeeper, finally stands up to his fussy wife, petulant daughter and overbearing mother-in-law. The Lottery (1953) by Shirley Jackson, directed by Austin Archer. In a bucolic setting, villagers participate in an annual ritual to guarantee their crops. But who pays the price? Oedi (1998) by Rich Orloff, directed by Randall Eames. In a modern, farcical retelling of Oedipus and his complex problems, Jocasta and her advisors try to spin the story to make everyone coming out looking good. Silence (1969 ) by Harold Pinter, directed by Laura Fisher Alvarez. Rumsey, Ellen and Bates reflect on their unrequited love triangle. Ellen recalls her love for both men, who she was and who she has become. The connection between the three resonate differently with each person. The Web (1913) by Eugene O'Neill, directed by Devin Thomas. O'Neill, in his first play, presents a prostitute with tuberculosis, forced to work for her pimp to support his drug habit. The Valiant (1924) by Holworthy Hall and Robert Middlemass, directed by Cameron Garner. A confessed murderer on death conceals his true identity.
