BDAC is proud to present artist Scott Snow's 25 Years of Courtroom Art. As a KSL-TV News Courtroom Artist, Scott Snow has captured some compelling, high profile cases before cameras were allowed in the courtroom. He used colored paper and pastels to render these pieces that are works of art in their own right. 'This show is not only an art exhibit, but a snapshot of some very interesting history,' says Snow about his work. 'Courtroom art is a dying profession. Around 1989, the State of Utah finally allowed cameras in the courtroom but the federal court system still does not allow them. I don't work as often as I used to but when the call comes, I enjoy the challenge and the whole experience.' To augment the exhibit, there will be a presentation and panel discussion on June 9th at 7:00pm at Bountiful/Davis Art Center on 25 Years of Courtroom Art with Scott Snow, Spence Kenard, former KSL News Director and Robert Barrett, BYU Professor of Art and illustrator.
