It's a Lush Life New works by Aaron Memmott and Penelope Moore reception on Friday July 10 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The exhibit will be in conjunction with the Park City Food and Wine Classics Stroll of Park City. Meander up and down Main Street and sample great wines and fabulous food at various locations in downtown Park City. Each Stroll stop offers a different variety of wines and delicious culinary samples. This event allows patrons to familiarize themselves with the many restaurants and retailers Park City has to offer. Aaron Memmott is this year's featured artist.

    Memmott is inspired by his local surroundings and expresses his vision of our everyday environments in his oil paintings. Memmott's canvases are essentially urban. e uses a rich palette to paint scenes of glowing streetlights, nightlife, neighborhood intersections, wet reflective streets in signature parts of town, with an emphasis on perspective and light.     Penelope's paintings are a reflection of her surroundings. She paints contemporary still-lifes and interiors. Her inspiration often begins in social settings such as candle lit restaurants, trendy lounges and wine bars. She often depicts the way a wineglass or table fork reflects the surrounding atmosphere and light. By painting her subjects larger-than-life, emphasizing abstracted shapes (usually found in distortions and reflections of glass and metal), skewing the perspective, and by pushing color Penelope offers her viewers new and interesting ways to perceive commonly encountered places and objects.
