Jane Austen's classic tale of love and matrimony amongst the British social elite comes to life in Spotlight Production's theatrical presentation of Pride and Prejudice. The Bennet family, comfortable within their means but far from rich, is desperate to find suitable husbands for their five daughters. The arrival of a rich young bachelor and his closest friend appears to provide a perfect opportunity. Mr. Bingley takes an immediate liking to eldest daughter Jane, while the second daughter Elizabeth is less favorably impressed by his arrogant and mysterious friend, Mr. Darcy. However, as Elizabeth and Darcy continue to cross paths, they find that while they don't care for one another, they can't stop thinking about each other either. Adapted for the stage by Brainerd Duffield and directed by Brighton Sloan, Pride and Prejudice stars Kate Smith and Michael Jorgensen.
