Every year the Face of Utah Sculpture exhibit provides over fifty Utah artists a forum to present Utah culture through sculptural form. The origins of this dynamic exhibit, envisioned by glass artist Dan Cummings, features both well-known and emerging Utah sculptors, showcasing both traditional and contemporary sculpture in a variety of techniques, styles, mediums and forms. The result is an exciting and eclectic mix of excellence in artistry in countless forms! Everyone is invited to meet the artists at the opening reception on June 11 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The evening will include food, live music and the finest new works produced by Utah's best sculptors. A majority of the artists participating in the exhibition will be on hand to discuss their artwork. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories.

      I attended the opener which had a great turn out. Approximately 400 visitors attended. There is a very diverse group of sculptures. If anything could be found to improve the show it would be an increase in the number of artists who are represented. I know the Utah Cultural Celebration Center made a huge effort to present this opportunity to the artists of Utah. If any artists read this review and wish to be in the show next year there is a whole year to get art ready for submission. If you want to see some awesome art by the artists of our state then this show is certainly a place to be. Best of all, IT'S FREE!! Collapse
